IHS Formal {access update}

It’s been brought to my attention that some people are having issues accessing the formal photos website. It is unclear why this is happening, as it seems it be quite intermittent – the site is working from my end, and with all of the people I have asked to test it. If you are having problems, can you please either comment here and I can inbox you the details, or send me an email at rachel(at)rachelmeszaros.com.au

I apologise for any inconvenience.

leavin’, on a jet plane…

Now this I am excited about!! I’ve been talking about it for ages, and now, I’m locking it in and getting ready to pack my bags – it’s travel time! I will be photographing family portrait sessions in Adelaide in late 2012/early 2013. I’m just put the finishing touches on my exclusive Adelaide packages, so if you would like to be first in line to secure a spot when they are released later this week, drop me a line at rachel@rachelmeszaros.com.au.

With enough interest, I am looking at coming home via Melbourne, so if you are in Melbourne and interested in a session, let me know and I’ll add you to the waiting list!

I would also love to photograph a wedding in one of these gorgeous cities, so if you are planning a summer wedding in the southern cities, I’d love to hear from you!

Wild horses…

With two gorgeous Calamity Bolt fillies coming for a holiday, we had plenty of chances to create some beuatiful photos. The first shoot I’ve already blogged, and having waited to unveil the rest of the images at the Armidale Baby Expo way back in September, I haven’t had an opportunity to sit down and blog the rest, from the main shoot which was the original concept pitched!

These images really speak to my heart – not only is that my two beautiful boys having a blast playing with the horses, but these photos were shot in the same spot my husband and I had our wedding photos taken, very near the property I grew up on.

Thank you once again Elke, for entrusting me with your beautiful creations. For those who haven’t yet discovered the delightfulness that is Guyra-based Calamity Bolt, do yourself a favour and take a gander at the madeit store or the Facebook page.

{class of 2011} :: Tori

Last week, I caught up with the delightful Tori while she was in Inverell, and we hung out for a bit and shot her year12 mini-session. This girl is gorgeous. I had such a hard time trying to decide what to blog, so I decided to blog them all!

Thank you, beautiful girl, for hanging with me, and laughing with me. I had so much fun seeing you again, even if it does make me feel old to know you are in year12! xx

{mini-sessions are a great way to celebrate the end of school. for more information, email rachel[at]rachelmeszaros.com.au, call 0404 009 468, or join the facebook page at http://facebook.com/rachelmeszarosphotography – sessions running in Inverell throughout the year, dates available on request}

I see you, watching me, watching you…

Just before Christmas, I met up with a bunch of cute little people and their mum & dad to capture some family portraits. I wanted to do something fun, and being part way through a vintange camera Advent photo challenge, I brought along my little Brownie Starlet (circa 1950’s), and we had a play.

Sometime though, the best props are the spontaneous ones, like a piece of bark as a moustache. Smooth, little dude, very smooth.

And little mister watched the goings-on from his safe perch high up in daddy’s arms, wondering what all the fuss was about. Din;t you just want to smmoch those gorgeous little cheeks!

I have been very slack in my blogging, but I have a couple more sessions to blog about, and some very fun new projects coming up in 2011. Want to keep up to date? Why not follow me on Facebook?

So, once again, Christmas is upon us. Another year over & done with, and the chance to start afresh is just around the corner.

I would like to thank all my wonderful clients who have helped make 2009 so great, and I look forward to catching up with you, and photographing you & your family in 2010.

I would also like to take this opportunity to publicly thank my husband, without whom none of this would be possible. And our two little boys, who are so very patient with mummy, when the phone rings, or emails need answering. Just yesterday, Master 3 was walking around talking on the phone. “Who was that, sweetheart?” “Oh, never mind, mummy, just someone to take photos of.” Thank you, tiny boy, for bringing me back to earth!

And so, with the memory of that conversation leaving me with a smile, I bid farewell to 2009, and look forward to the challenges that 2010 will bring. Rachel Meszaros Photography will officially be closed between December 21 and January 4. However, feel free to leave an email or voicemail, and I will get back to you when I get a moment.

Merry Christmas, and may God bless you and your family this holiday season.
