From big brother Tommy’s 6 month portraits, and more recently, Kate’s lifestyle maternity shoot, now it’s little Andy’s turn to star in some photos of his own.

I don’t noramlyy share the out-takes, but this one cracks me up so much, I can’t help it. It doesn’t help that I was quite low to the ground for this one, and while Savannah distracted us all attempting to lick baby Andy, her partner in crime saw an opportunity – apparently my ear was just too tempting, as I discovered when it was attacked by a warn west nose!

tillytom is coming to the New England/Northwest!! Anna and I have teamed up for the inaugural tillytom/Rachel Meszaros Photography Trunk Show. If you have a little cutie, and love handmade clothes, this is perfect for you. So what is a Trunk Show and how does it all work? The trunk show is a collaborative event, where you end up with beautiful clothes and beautiful photos. To get involved, you need to book in with me before September 13, and pay your $15 booking fee. Once all the bookings are confirmed, you are emailed a one-time discount code to go shopping in the tillytom store for your favourite outfit, which you can purchase at 15% off. On the day of the trunk show, your bring along your little person in their new outfit, we shoot a mini-session, and a week or so later, you have a gallery to choose your photos from, with your booking fee being applied in full toward your order.

And even more exciting, is Anna has told me she may even be able to open up a couple of rare-as-hens-teeth custom order spots for the show! With custom orders, and a stunning new collection just having been released for girls and boys, there is sure to be something to suit everyone.

Which got me thinking. Clickity-click went the little cogs in my mind, and soon enough, a short little email was sent, and soon blossomed in vibrant reality. Two of the “stud” horses appeared on my front verandah for a holiday and a play, and playing we have been!

These images are from the first of two completed shoots I’ve done, and I have another one or two planned. They’ll be featuring on a new product I’ll be debuting at the Armidale Baby Expo. A new product, some beautiful images with a beautiful prop, and some exposure for Calamity Bolt, who otherwise wouldn’t be able to make it sounds like a win-win to me!

Lifestyle sessions are a great way to capture life as it happens, without needing any reason greater than craeting memories for the future. On Saturday, I had the pleasure of shooting some maternity portraits for Megan, and little Miss Two wasn’t quite sure of me at first, but it didn’t take long and she was posing for the camera like  pro!

(as a side note, it’s a good idea to take the camera off high speed action mode before inviting the two year old to “press that button there” – let’s just say it’s a good thing I wasn’t shooting with my film camera!)
